Hello, I'm Vishnu..

Reasearch Analyst @ Wipro | Ex-Amazon Program Manager

@venugvis

My current role at Wipro (officially Deputy Project Manager and functionally Research Analyst / Data Scientist) involves working with psychometric survey data and performance metrics of content moderators in the Wellbeing & Resilience Lab. I focus on data cleaning, EDA, feature engineering, statistical testing, and predictive modeling, alongside building dashboards, Python pipelines, and white paper style research insights for stakeholders. My work increasingly overlaps with cloud and big data solutions such as Azure, as we scale analytics pipelines and migrate dashboards from legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.

Before Wipro, I spent 5+ years at Amazon in roles spanning technical support, program management, data analytics, and ticketing operations. During this time, I led 20+ high-impact projects annually, introduced data-driven processes, and contributed to significant cost savings and workflow improvements in digital and device services.

Alongside my professional work, I’ve built end-to-end case studies such as customer churn prediction, employee attrition modeling, and purchase behavior analysis — applying techniques like Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, and tuning them with GridSearchCV. These projects reflect my ability to take raw data through the full pipeline of cleaning → modeling → visualization → insights.

I hold a Master’s in English Linguistics and Literature, and my transition into analytics was strengthened by completing the Google Data Analytics and Google Advanced Data Analytics Certificates, solidifying my skills in Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, machine learning, and exposure to big data platforms and cloud-based analytics workflows.

My career path began in the humanities, where I honed skills in communication and problem-solving. But my curiosity for structure, systems, and decision-making drew me toward data — and I realized I had been practicing analytics all along. The formal technical foundation gave me the ability to scale those skills into data science and applied research.

In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, experimenting with IoT projects, reading, and spending time with my family and my cat Aimee 🐾. I’m endlessly curious, quick to learn, and thrive in teams that use data to solve meaningful problems.
